Produced by the Melbourne Planetarium, Capturing the Cosmos showcases work done by Australian astronomers to understand more about the universe.
Powerful imagery of the universe surrounds onlookers in a dome shaped room, giving the audience a sense of space travel.
QVMAG Planetarium's Technical Officer, Chris Arkless said Australian astronomers are at the cutting edge of research into dark energy.
"Capturing the Cosmos shows how all-sky mapping from dark sites away from the city lights is being used in our quest for knowledge," Mr Arkless said.
"However, it is not all about visible light: we rely heavily on radio astronomy to look through another window into the Universe and learn about its distant past."
From Saturday, June 25, Capturing the Cosmos will be shown at 2pm every Saturday, followed by Black Holes
