Jacob Adam Williams, 24, of Bracknell, was arrested after detectives raided Launceston’s Seaport Hotel on June 5, 2014.
There they found Williams lying on a bed surrounded by small bags of methamphetamine, a safe containing more than $100,000, a pistol, a vacuum sealer and other items.
He had been found in possession of ice in February 2014 as well.
His trial began in the Launceston Supreme Court on Monday.
Williams’ lawyer Evan Hughes argued the 24-year-old had nothing to do with the sale and distribution of drugs, but was in the hotel room because he was “hopelessly and completely addicted to an insidious drug”.
A jury on Thursday returned two unanimous guilty verdicts to Williams’ trafficking charges and a unanimous not guilty verdict on the count of dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Williams will be sentenced on June 30.
