Mr Palmer visited Tasmania yesterday to announce the proposal alongside number one candidate on the party’s senate ticket, Kevin Morgan.
Under the plan, no tax would be paid in Tasmania for three years and there would be a 50 per cent reduction on the tax rate for the seven years following.
Mr Palmer said it would attract global businesses to set up in Tasmania, would ensure more money was circulating in the state’s economy, and lift Tasmanians out of poverty.
“Today, the investment we see is mainly government investment and we need to see private investment but to do that we need to give them incentives,” he said.
“I think it’s intolerable to see people living in conditions here that you would see in Bangladesh or Third World countries,” he said.
Mr Palmer said the party had 10,000 members across the country.
He said internal polling suggested it could win between four and six senate spots this election.
