Crafty knitters have worked together to decorate the streets of Campbell Town with colourful yarn creations.
In the lead up to the annual Campbell Town Show, exhibition hall convenor Bridget Walch called upon knitters across the state to contribute a patch of work to yarn bomb the town.
“Last year, I met with a group of ladies in Campbell Town and put forward the idea of yarn bombing the main street of Campbell Town,” Ms Walch said.
Organisers wanted to inject some new life into the promotion of the show and its wool.
“This year, we have continued the theme and decorated more trees...with the idea of using wool, one of the best fabrics out, to promote the show,” Ms Walch said.
Free knitting classes will be held across broth days of the show.
Running from June 3 to 4, the Campbell Town Show is a celebration of Tasmania’s high quality wool and livestock.
Gates open at 7.20am and close at 5pm each day. For more information visit www.campbelltownshow.com.au.
