Leading BMC’s team at the week-long Critérium du Dauphiné from June 5, the 31-year-old said: “I've put in some really good training blocks at home and with the team, so I'm ready to put that to the test. It's always a tough race and knowing that it will be my last race before the Tour de France, I want to show what I can do."
Legana’s Wes Sulzberger and Hobart’s Jai Crawford have both been playing prominent roles in the Tour of Japan, a key race for their Japanese Kinan team. Launceston’s Karl Menzies is also competing.
Sulzberger led the race the last time he competed in 2008 when Crawford finished second overall to compatriot Cameron Meyer.
Launceston’s Holly Ranson won the Metropolitan road champs in Victoria.
