The two Eagles collected $8085 for research into the stomach muscle and nerve disease gastroparesis.
Evandale president Pat Davey said it was a fantastic effort by all involved and that it would become a permanent annual fixture.
“The raffle is still going so there is more to come but it was a very successful night at the club with local musician Nathan Broomhall donating his time,” Davey said.
“Uni-Mowbray are going to host it next year and just keep raising awareness for this shocking disease.
“Hopefully they can find a cure for the horrible thing sooner rather than later.”
The concept was sparked after Uni player Derryn Turner’s sister and Evandale captain Justin Hutton’s cousin Jacinda Turner, 31, was diagnosed with the rare disease 12 months ago.
