Entitled Backyards to Broadacres, the series will cover topics including soil biology and health, composting, climate change and product marketing and will be presented in locations throughout the Tamar Valley.
Tamar NRM program co-ordinator Greg Lundstrom said the workshops would aim to cater for the widest possible range of landowners.
“The key to this is looking at scalability; presenting information that small landholders through to large landholders can grasp,” Mr Lundstrom said.
“We've left a bit of flexibility in (the program) so that as we go along we may change a couple of the workshops and just tinker with the model a little bit so we can give the local producers exactly what they need.”
The workshop series recently received a $37,950 grant from the National Landcare Program.
