Bridestowe Lavender Estate, a George Town engineering firm and a Launceston metal recycling plant are among Northern projects that successfully applied for funding.
The government will on Friday announce 56 projects across the state to be funded from the Tasmanian Jobs and Investment Fund.
The projects will stimulate $100 million worth of investment statewide and create 800 jobs.
The jobs fund stems from $16 million set aside for a revamp of the Cadbury chocolate factory in Hobart, which was abandoned last year when the chocolatier withdrew its application.
Bass Liberal MHR Andrew Nikolic said there were 12 successful applications in his electorate, which would see $17.5 million worth of investment across Northern Tasmania.
“Nearly 150 applications were received from around the state as part of the highly competitive application process,” Mr Nikolic said.
“The 12 successful businesses are innovative and working hard to improve their operations, which will create local jobs and economic growth in Northern Tasmania.”
Mr Nikolic said successful Northern projects included $2 million towards a $6.25 million project to recycle and process steel in Launceston.
The project is tipped to create 33 jobs for the city.
Almost $1 million will go towards a $2.7 million upgrade of facilities at an engineering firm in George Town, creating 16 jobs.
Award winning Bridestowe Lavender Estate will receive $380,000 for upgrades at its Nabowla farm, with 12 positions expected to be made.
“This shows that Tasmanian businesses are confident, they're looking to invest and expand and the Coalition is here to support them - whether it's through funding like this, or through cutting business taxes or through opening up doors to major export markets,” Mr Nikolic said.
Mr Nikolic said the funds would flow to the businesses “as soon as possible”.
