Speaking from Agfest earlier this month, the Tasmanian Copper and Metal Art Gallery owner operator said the art of metal manipulation had been in the Marik family for more than 30 years.
“My father started in 1978 at Carrick and I just started tinkering with metal as a child and learning off him,” Mr Marik said.
“I took over from Dad 16 years ago when he passed away and it just grew from there.”
Mr Marik said the business had gone from strength to strength since his wife Gail had come on board.
“I'm in the workshop pretty much everyday and Gail my wife is in the showroom so it's a good combination.... it works much better now with the two of us in the business together.”
