The annual Pancake Day will be held by Longford Uniting Church in an effort to raise funds for emergency relief organisation the Helping Hand Association.
Co-ordinator Colleen Grieve said Pancake Day was a fun way to bring the community together, while also helping out a good cause.
"We work from two points, one is from our church hall where a group of people work to put together orders for businesses," she said.
"We also operate at our centre in Marlborough Street . . . we set up cooking facilities there and some tables and chairs on the grass in the shade, and we take any orders that come off the street.
"We've done it so much now that it's pretty easy for us, we've got a system and that works really well."
Ms Grieve said Helping Hand was about making a difference to members of the local community who were doing it tough.
Organisers will offer a delivery service for businesses who order more than 10 pancakes, and complimentary tea or coffee to those who drop into their Marlborough Street stall.
Ms Grieve said pancakes would cost $2 each, and she hoped to raise about $500 for Helping Hand after expenses were taken out.
"We are proud to support the work of the Helping Hand through UnitingCare Pancake Day and invite everyone in the community to come down, grab a pancake and get behind this great cause," she said.
The Longford Uniting Church has been running Pancake Day in Longford for about 10 years.
Organisers will be cooking between 9.30am and noon on February 9.
