The biscuit maker advised Coles in July it planned to lift prices in October by up to 10 per cent on a range of products, including Tim Tams, Scotch Fingers, Teddy Bear, Monte Carlo and TeeVee Snacks.
Coles said the increases were unjustified, prompting Arnott's to stop shipping Tim Tams to Australia's second-largest supermarket chain's warehouses from early October.
"When a major international manufacturer decides they will unilaterally force through a price hike without justification, we will resist that," a Coles spokesman said.
The stand-off lasted two weeks, with Coles finally agreeing to increase the price of 44 "must-have" Arnott's biscuit products, including the Original Tim Tam 200 gram packets, as well as on seven lines of Campbell's stock.
But the supermarket refused to jack up the cost of some products, which were then not supplied.
Coles has instead discontinued six varieties of Tim Tams, including multi-packs, coconut cream, choc raspberry and salted caramel creations.
Campbell's Soup Co, which owns Arnott's, has been contacted for comment.
