The Tasmanian under-19 captain for the national championships, Seymour will have the chance to train over eight weeks alongside some of the best players and leaders in the world, including Kumar Sangakkara and George Bailey.
As a bowler, Seymour will relish the chance to learn from the likes of experienced paceman Shaun Tait and Hurricanes head coach Damien Wright.
"I found out about a week ago and can't wait," he said. "I am looking forward to training with some great cricketers and learning and developing my game off some of the world's best players."
Seymour was a member of the Australian under-19 team which toured England over the winter, receiving a late call-up after solid under-17 and under-19 national championships for Tasmania.
He said he was happy with the way he performed on the tour of England with limited preparation.
Seymour said he harboured ambitions to one day pull on the purple for the Hurricanes.
"The way cricket is going, Twenty20 cricket is a massive part of cricket and, although it is a bit of bash and crash, a lot of tactics are involved still and it is an enjoyable format of the game."
Seymour leaves for Adelaide on Saturday for this year's national under-19 championships and said he wanted to do well in the tournament for Tasmania.
"I am feeling a bit nervous but I want to do well with the selections for the under-19 World Cup coming up, and I have been putting a bit of preparation into it so hopefully have a good carnival and take a few wickets and score a few runs," he said.
"It is a great privilege when you get the opportunity to lead a Tasmanian side, so I am looking forward to it."
Having finished his year 12 exams, has aspirations to gain a Tassie Tigers contract.
"I will be moving to Hobart on December 14 and should be down there until the end of January.
"I will relocate permanently at some stage - if not this year then definitely next year, chasing a contract."
Cricket Tasmania high performance manager Shannon Tubb said Seymour's rookie contract was just reward for a teenager who had an outstanding work ethic towards his cricket and had impressed in his physical preparation for this cricket season.
"Fletch is very much looking forward to spending time with Damien Wright and his staff to progress his game to the next level after a successful tour of England with the Australian under 19s."
