It is nothing but power hungry terrorists using brutal tactics to scare the life out of every human being with a conscience.

Daesh wants the West to hate Muslims. For Islam and Christianity to go to war. The organisation is driving a wedge - it's that simple.

And guess what? People are falling right into their pathetic trap. It's only natural.

Daesh does not want to create an Islamic state. It wants to be a prodigal figure. It wants power.

Daesh is a rogue totalitarian outfit using grotesque scare tactics in a campaign to gain authority.

It is not about religion - these terrorists are just using Islam as a smoke screen.

Just as Nazi Germany, Baader-Meinhof, Boko Haram, Hezbollah, Taliban, al-Qaeda, Viet Cong, Khmer Rouge and so on have done before them.

Daesh is following the same philosophy Chinese communist Mao Zedong bred: "political power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

The Paris and Mali attacks, along with the bringing down of a Russian flight in Egypt left many traumatised and angry. Rightly so.

As did September 11, the 2005 bombings in Bali and London, the Lindt Cafe siege and Parramatta shooting among many others.

A quick web search blatantly shows Islamist terrorist attacks have rapidly increased in the past 20 years with worrying regularity.

Daesh wants to incite fear. It wants Western society to hate Muslims so much that they fight their fight on the streets, and that Muslims worldwide turn to them for leadership and protection.

Groups such as Reclaim Australia are playing right into Daesh's hands. This group's antics at the weekend, where several people were arrested at rallies, defined xenophobia and is exactly what these extremists want.

This eye-for-an-eye mentality is thoughtless.

Racism is not the answer. Peacefully protest against ISIS, don't isolate all Muslims and fear the burqa or Islam because of a small percentile of deranged drongos with warped ideology looking to destroy democracy. Respect them and help them shake the stigma.

Terrorists provoke fear to justify their cause. Muslims are wearing the brunt.

Clerics are unfortunately not doing enough to denounce and distance themselves from the radicalists, fuelling the ground-level tension. It's time to step up.

Australia and any other country should be extremely vigilant in accepting suspect refugees.

Screen against freeloaders and terrorists; and welcome genuine migrants.

Strong and stringent border protection policies are a must. Australia leads the way with solid support from both major political parties.

Police say 12 men and boys are living in Australia who are capable of committing terrorism. Nineteen are in jail, says Australian Federal Police's counter-terrorism chief Neil Gaughan.

We must stop them from entering and rid them from our society.

We should be strong in picking and choosing who enters Australia, using a robust and at times unforgiving process. And if they don't pass the test - bon voyage.

Some people call it unfair and against contravention, however, it is necessary.

Those who do past the test should be respected and treated like any other Australian citizen.

Don't let Daesh destroy the free-world.

Western society has faced far worse throughout history, and will long out see this crazy bunch.
