And being a PhD music graduate in Australia and Spain, as well as an ARIA award winner, you'd be crazy not to take his word for it.
Koch said the Longford church was a perfect venue for classical music.
"We've been playing there about once a year, it's very much a fixture of our season to perform there and it's a great venue for championing music in Tasmania," he said.
"It's an excellent venue for the type of music that we play, with a great acoustic, great ambience and a very appreciative audience and it's something that we really like to have on the calendar."
The trio is rounded out by Hobart's Australian Art Music award winner David Malone and Koch's 19-year-old protege Oliver Marshall, whom the former describes as "one of the most promising young classical guitarists ever produced in Tasmania".
Koch said the trio would journey from Celtic to Spanish folk to contemporary music throughout the concert.
"The program we'll be presenting is very diverse and I think quite entertaining."
"We're not caught up in any specific genre really, we're just more concerned with presenting good music no matter where it comes from or what particular style it belongs to."
