The gig will showcase an all-female line-up in what organisers expect to become a monthly event.
Host Sarah Triffitt said it was time Launceston had an event with a focus on local female artists.
"I think female musicians get overlooked at times, I just wanted to give them the complete rights to the stage for one night once a month," she said.
"To be able to do that I think is really cool.
"It's going to be a real celebration, a real showcase of Tasmanian female artists."
Mrs Triffitt said she hoped to eventually grow the concept to include workshops or headline performances from touring female artists.
Saturday's performers will include Mary Shannon, Tiarni Cane, Denni Sulzberger and Chloe Wilson.
The free gig will kick off at the Royal Oak from 8.30pm on October 3.
