A SUCCESSFUL run of shows playing Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell around Halloween last year has inspired Chocolate Starfish to do it all again in Tasmania.

The rock group will be bringing the experience to Country Club Tasmania this weekend.
"We love those songs and that album was one of the influences that I had as a kid," frontman Adam Thompson said.
"There was a question of whether we could pull it off.
"But we didn't want it to be just a cover-band tribute type of show, it had to have our own integrity to it, which was similar to what we did when we did You're So Vain as one of our singles back in the day.
"We had to put our own stamp on it and I think that is that integrity into us as a band."
But while the music is Meatloaf's, the vibe and feeling is very much Chocolate Starfish.
It is how we deliver them and the way they come across it is always fresh and none so more than this album, as I've got room to move and room to be theatrical," Thompson said.
Thompson hoped to do similar shows like this in the future, with Cat Stevens's Tea for Tillerman on his wishlist, as well as working on original Chocolate Starfish material.
