The theft hearing of businesswoman Susie Fisher, 58, continued into its sixth day in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday, a year after it started.
She has been accused of stealing the money between April 2011 and May 2012 from her licensed Australia Post outlet, which is in the same store as her chemist.
Commonwealth prosecutor Ian Arendt cross-examined Ms Fisher and asked what she meant when she told her former bookkeeper that an ex-employee was a "f--- b---h"' who had stolen documents to "implicate" her.
"The documentation you are referring to was the IOUs, wasn't it?" Mr Arendt suggested.
Ms Fisher said she had meant a record book.
The prosecutor further suggested to Ms Fisher that "implicate" meant being connected to a crime.
"I would have thought there were other meanings but I could be wrong," Ms Fisher replied.
Later, Mr Arendt said: "It's the IOUs which implicate you, Ms Fisher," and she denied this.
The hearing, before magistrate Reg Marron, continues on August 11.
