Jasmin Frost, Lachlan Hinds, Tarlia Kreutzer and Jasmin Glover participated in the event which asks high school students to give prepared and impromptu speeches on topics ranging from "my secret regret" to "the price of progress".
Lachlan received an encouragement award for his efforts.
Port Dalrymple School principal Philip Challis said the school tried to develop public speaking skills in its students in various ways, including the hosting of school assemblies and participation in school productions.
He said the school had made great progress in Rostrum Voice of Youth since first participating several years ago.
"I see it as a great opportunity for students to find an avenue to promote their speaking skills and an avenue to go beyond the school experience, which is important for regional schools," he said.
"It's important to have the interaction with other schools to extend their pool of engagement with students of similar interests and abilities and to enjoy that environment where they do get to compete and extend their talents."
Rostrum Voice of Youth state co-ordinator Jenny Fraser commended the school on its strong staff turn-out.
Seven teachers from the school attended the regional heat to cheer on the students.
"I'm really proud of all that we've achieved - we've improved our outcomes and we'll see ongoing support from our teachers," Mr Challis said.
- The four students selected to participate in the state final on June 20 were Annie Roberts from Riverside High and Talleyn Burch from Launceston Church Grammar for the junior section and Yasmin de Jersey from Scotch Oakburn College and Breanna Stuart from Launceston Church Grammar School in the senior section.
