Police have seized more than $15,000 of cannabis and charged a Launceston man with drug trafficking after a tip-off from a member of the public.

A 57-year-old Invermay man was charged with several offences, including possessing, using, and cultivating a controlled plant, and trafficking a controlled substance.
Police will allege they found and seized 1.6 kilograms of cannabis.
The man was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on June 17.
Police thanked members of the public who passed on information that led to the arrest.
