It was announced on Monday that 260 employees would lose their jobs at facilities at Brooklyn in Victoria and Bordertown in South Australia due to a cutback in their production of lamb.
But JBS Swift Australia director John Berry confirmed that there would be no job losses at JBS's Longford facility.
"Nothing will be happening in Tasmania," Mr Berry said.
"Tasmanians need to understand that Longford is not being affected."
Mr Berry said the company had been forced to cut jobs due to challenges relating to the domestic and international demand for lamb.
"Both of those facilities [Brooklyn and Bordertown] process across two shifts throughout the day and what we're doing is we're cutting back on the numbers we are processing," he said.
"Unfortunately that will result in around 260 jobs across the two sites being stood down for a period of time until conditions improve."
