The St Helens Local Chaplaincy Committee has been organising the annual event for the past three months and have lined up several competitors from around the state.
The competition - aimed at encouraging the spirit of the Anzacs - will include a 10-kilometre fun run course, a five-kilometre walking course and special categories for children.
Trophies will be awarded to the first male and female runners, walkers and the first under 16 male and female.
So far 49 participants have been registered to compete, with plenty of room left for anyone interested in participating.
Everyone will receive a biband a medallion as recognition of participating in the special event.
Organiser and St Helens Local Chaplaincy Committee treasurer Christine Treloggen said the event would be the first fun run in St Helens for several years.
"It is particularly special this year as the Chaplaincy Committee are co-operating with the local RSL Branch and running the event on the 100th anniversary of the first Anzac Day," she said.
"Several people have reminisced about the Anzac Day sports events in past years and it is hoped that with this inaugural event, there will be many more to follow.
"The Chaplaincy Committee is taking registrations on the morning of the event if you are unable to register beforehand."
The fun run will start at 12.30pm on Saturday.
Price brackets will vary for the different events.
The 10km event is $25 for adults, $5 for children under 16, and $60 for a four-person family.
The five kilometre walk event is $20 adults, $5 for children under 16 and $50 for a family of four.
For the five kilometre walk wheelchair, pram and dog event, adults are $20, children under 16 are $5, and a family of four is $50.
All participants will receive a tax deductible receipt.
This event will be followed by the East Coast Swans Football Club's Anzac Day fixture at the St Helens Recreation Ground.
