The trainer-driver has a focus on the square-gaiters and targets the right horses at the meeting, which features the group 3 La Coocaracha.
"I have got a number of trotters in my stable at the moment, in fact nearly half the horses I am training would be trotters and that is thanks largely to the support I receive from Pat Driscoll who is a huge supporter and breeder of them," Fitzpatrick said.
The stable could provide the trifectas in the two-year-old and three-year-old trots and in the feature he has a strong team led by former trotter Ballyronan, which will have a first run in Australia.
He also brings the consistent Duchess Ella and Edge Hill, which has cost herself any chance by breaking in the score-up at her past two starts.
"Ballyronan hasn't had a start but she has been with me for a while," Fitzpatrick said. "She did a lot of her racing at Alexandra Park so it has taken some time to get her going right-handed but she is very comfortable with everything now.
"Edge Hill has been a real improver, she has made some mistakes at her past two but I'm happy with her so I expect her to perform well. Duchess Ella has been really consistent throughout her career and has got a really good turn of foot so if she gets the right run in any race she is a chance."
Meanwhile, the classy Smolda is back in form heading into next week's Len Smith Mile. The five-year-old broke the Penrith 2525m track record, rating 1.56.7 in the Renshaw Cup on Thursday.
While Beautide will be a long odds-on favourite for the $100,000 the presence of Lennythshark and Smolda will keep him honest. The meeting also features the Australian Pacing Gold Final for two-year-old colts and geldings and the Carousel Final.
