The Akubra-donning brothers have returned after their triumph at the Sydney Royal Easter Show’s whip-cracking competition.
Isaac, 8, earned champion status at the competition’s peewee level and Thomas, 6, gained fourth place for his performance with the bull whip.
The pair have spent the past year honing their skill with the assistance from their neighbours and renowned whip cracker Simon Martin.
Their mother Jess said the gift of a single cow whip was what started it all.
‘‘Our neighbours, the Thompsons, gave Isaac his first whip,’’ Mrs Bramich said.
‘‘It’s not something we ever would have thought to get them into.
‘‘They just enjoyed it so much, so we support them in it.’’
Initially taught by his friend Will Thompson, Isaac proved to be a natural at the hobby — practising up to five days a week and eventually passing on skills to Thomas.
Although Isaac was the first to start, Thomas said he would work hard to eventually match his older brother’s ability.
Mrs Bramich said they would again enter the boys in the next state championships as hopefuls for national crack-offs next year.
