Martin, the frontman for the Tea Party, will be playing acoustic versions of tracks from the group's The Ocean At The End album on these run of shows, which will feature a Launceston performance later this month.
"It is just going to be a wonderful opportunity to play these songs acoustically," Martin told X-static.
"It will probably be the last time I can do this, as with everything else on my card coming up, it won't be an option in the future.
"I do cherish these shows, as it is a very different animal than the Tea Party, where I am playing in front of thousands of people, as these ones are much more intimate atmosphere.
"The songs are just as powerful, as it is really the camp fire test to see if the songs can always stand up, as the essence is always there.
"Both (the band and solo acoustic versions) have their merits, and how the Tea Party goes, that is something to embrace.
"But I guess with the way this tour is likely to go, it is something I am looking forward."
Martin is coming off a successful 2014 which included the release of The Ocean At The End, The Tea Party's first album in 10 years, touring and releasing material with Sarah McLeod.
It is a year he said he was proud of.
"The only expectations that we have are the ones that we put on ourselves to excel, as if The Tea Party is going to make new music, it is going to have to stand shoulder to shoulder with anything we have done in the past, which is a big ask."
Martin said he couldn't wait to return to Tasmania, saying he loved the people and the vibe.
"For some reason down in Tasmania there always seems to be a bit more magic in the air."
Martin will be supported by Neil Gibson on Thursday, April 16.
