Ms Hayes, 19, collected her new Martin DX1AE acoustic guitar from Barratts Music yesterday but might have to compete with some jealous sibling over who gets to play it first.
"I've never played an instrument," Ms Hayes said.
"I've never won anything so this is a bit different, I just entered for fun."
Barratts Music owner Mark Barratt said he was happy to have given away such a high-quality instrument.
"It's the kind of instrument that people will get a lot of pleasure out of," Mr Barratt said.
"It's such a beautiful instrument."
This week's prize in a $1000 Hog's Breath Cafe voucher.
