Fevola and Johnson managed only one goal each as the Saints ran out comfortable winners, 17.23 (125) to 10.8 (68), but Maloney declared the day a success for the club.
"We had about 50 to 60 juniors here for the clinic, which was well supported and a good crowd through the gate, and 1500 was the figure we were aiming for," Maloney said.
"Everyone was well-behaved and we were very competitive up until the third quarter and battled it out in the last.
"Fev kicked the one goal but took the limelight and the focus off some of our other players, which allowed them to kick goals, and Ben Johnson got plenty of the ball through the midfield.
"The kids were all over them for autographs and we have a do on tonight and everyone has had a great time and Ben and Fev were very receptive to signing autographs."
Brendan Taylor kicked five goals for St Pats to be one of the Saints' best from the midfield, with Dan Withers and Paul Kelly also good through there, and Josh Illingworth holding Fevola to one goal.
"We knew it would be a tough game and they had four to six players playing for that one game, including Johnson and Fevola, who are quality players, and some Devonport players," St Pats coach Jake Lowe said.
"We were inaccurate in front of goal and they really stuck with us but we were able to run it out and the depth of 22 really helped and our whole midfield got us on top."
Perth coach Damian Rhind was happy with his team's effort.
"The pleasing thing was the 100 per cent effort our players gave for the whole game, which is a strong focus for us," he said.
Harley Thomas kicked four goals to be Perth's best along with Michael Mills and Jacob Goldsmith and Devonport recruits Ward Rakei and Luc Keep.
