Educational workshops highlighting the necessity of healthy soil will be held next month across the North-East of the state.
The workshops will be run in conjunction with Nutrition Full Circle agronomist Peter Norwood and Natural Resource Management North from March 12 to 14.
Mr Norwood will teach attendees how to improve soil health with mineral balancing, how to understand the Albrecht soil system method and how to manage sandy soils.
He will also share knowledge about how to understand and interpret soil test results.
Mr Norwood has an extensive knowledge of agronomy and runs his own prime lamb and lucerne enterprise on the mainland.
Workshops will be held at Flinders Islands' Whitemark Sport and RSL Club from 1pm to 3pm on March 12, Branxholme Imperial Hotel from 1pm to 3pm and Fingal Neighbourhood House from 6pm to 8pm on March 13, and at Seaview Farm, St Marys, from 9.30am to noon on March 14.
