Australian Education Union president Terry Polglase released the results of a survey of 6000 members this morning.
Mr Polglase said he had been waiting for the results to assess if state budget cuts were impacting on schools.
''It's pretty damning that 68 per cent versus 14 per cent are saying ''you betcha,'''' Mr Polglase said.
He also highlighted the inadequate support for students with special needs with 68 per cent saying there students with disabilities were not getting the help they needed.
``It is the willingness of educators to take on extra duties and additional workloads that has enabled the maintenance of high quality public education but the situation is not sustainable,'' Mr Polglase said.
