Mayor Barry Jarvis said that two ``walk in'' sessions would held on the Village Green where he and other councillors will be available to answer questions and discuss the concept.
The recently released concept plan involves replacing the existing hall and car park with an attractive development, including commercial tenancy, residential accommodation and a restaurant/cafe.
``We'll be there on Thursday January 15 and Thursday January 22 from 11am-1pm,'' Cr Jarvis said.
``As part of the plan, it is proposed that the site would be sold to a private developer and the proceeds of the sale reinvested into community facilities in Bridport.
``This concept would see a better utilisation of a prime site in Bridport, enhance livability and also attract much needed flow on investment in Bridport and the Dorset community.
``This is just a concept at this stage and we are pleased to be able to show the community what the site could look like in the future and get their feedback on this vision and also where to reinvest the proceeds into community facilities in Bridport.''
Cr Jarvis said the concept was no bigger than the current footprint of the hall and car park.
``In fact, the heights of the new buildings in the concept plan are lower than the existing hall and the proposed colour scheme and materials used would ensure it blends in with the surrounding environment,'' he said.
The facebook page www.facebook.com/bridporthallprecinct has been created as a forum where community members and visitors can have their say.
The concept plans are on display at the Bridport Hall, Bridport Holiday Park, Dorset Council chambers and Aqua Property, as well as the Dorset Council website.
