Ms Ellis single-handedly organised the first fun run in 2001 and continued to grow the event over the next few years.
After her death in 2012, the Northern Midlands Council decided to rename the Longford Fun Run in her memory.
The event saw 150 individuals compete in the two and eight kilometre run and walk last year.
Event organiser Rob Gillard said they expected to get a lot of people coming to the event who knew and loved Ms Ellis.
"It's a beautiful setting out at Brickendon," Ms Gillard said.
"We've taken it there because it's safer and more laid back with the gardens.
"Liz was a beautiful lady and a lot of people respected what she did.
"It embraces the community and people from outside the community come and compete as well."
The fun run will begin at 9am with a two kilometre dog walk and run, at 9.30am children and adults are invited to run or walk in a two kilometre event and then at 10am the eight kilometre run will take place.
The local Rotary Club will hold a barbecue and drinks on the estate and water will be provided to participants throughout.
