Dramatically so some could say.
The group, having just returned from a European tour, will play in Tasmania for a third time when it hits the stage of Launceston's The Royal Oak on Friday.
"We try to keep everything we do pretty energetic in our shows," guitarist Ben Murphy said.
"It is interactive and we'll try to do 15 songs in an hour, trying to keep it pretty fun.
"Our shows are quite dynamic also, with lots of quiet and loud parts, but what people know us for is how we interact with the audience.
"We have a tendency to jump out off stage on to tables and into the crowd, or get the crowd up on stage with us, as we really like to bring the show to the audience.
"In Melbourne, you can see a lot of bands just sitting back and not engaging, and we didn't want to be like that.
"We can't wait to get to The Royal Oak and get crazy on some of the tables."
La Bastard recently released a compilation album of its first four releases and will play in Launceston with one of its good friends, local blues-rock act Guthrie.
Both acts are encouraging people to get dressed up in the Halloween spirit for the night.
La Bastard will also play in Hobart on Saturday night at The Winston Hotel with The Sin and Tonics.
