How is it then that the cost of one hour parking for free at the meters and council car parks will cost $720,000 per year?
I’m sure I am not the only one who can't work that one out.
Why doesn’t the Launceston council work that one out.
Why doesn’t the Launceston council have free parking all day on Saturdays and then see how many more shoppers will come in to the CBD?
A retail leasing manager is quoted as saying 'Charles Street seems to be the real buzz at the moment”.
It may be the case but we look at Elizabeth Street for example and it is dying.
