Remote-control-wielding drivers and their tiny cars will travel from across the state to compete at the park from October 3 to 5.
Launceston R/C's Richard Green said the fourth annual event was already looking to be big.
"We got about 102 last year, we're certainly on-track for record entries, if we break 105, we'll be one of the largest in the state ever," Mr Green said.
"As a hobbyist sport it's been around since the 80s and it's regaining popularity now, we always want to make the event bigger and try to promote it as widely as possible."
A practice session will run on the Friday from 6pm to 9pm and a mixture of 4WD and 2WD buggy and truck courses will run from 7.30am on Saturday and Sunday.
"It's much like a full-size motor sport with the cars, equipment, rules and bodies and such, but much smaller and much more affordable," Mr Green said.
"Having said that, you can pay in excess of $600 easily on a race car."
Cost for entering is $20 for a single class, and $10 extra for each additional class. For more information go to www.launcestonrc.com
