- WHAT: Westbury Shamrocks junior cricket registration day.
- WHERE: Westbury Cricket Ground, Meander Valley Road, Westbury.
- WHEN: 5pm to 6pm, Thursday, September 18.
AN OPPORTUNITY to give cricket a bash with the Westbury Shamrocks has opened for children aged five to 15.
A registration day for Milo In2Cricket, Milo T20Blast, division 1, 2 and 3, under-13s and under-15s teams will be held at Westbury Cricket Ground from 5pm to 6pm next Thursday.
Club junior development officer Sharon Heazlewood said players from across Meander Valley and beyond were welcome to join.
"We'll have the T20Blast this year to fill in the gap between the Milo In2Cricket and Under 13s," she said.
"Games are played at the Northern Tasmanian Cricket Association complex in Launceston for children aged seven to nine years."
Changes to the under-15s roster will this year mean games are played over two Friday nights with 40-over innings, from 4.30pm October 17.
Division 1 and 2 under-13s games will be played from 4.30pm to 8pm on Fridays, starting from November 7 — division 3 games will begin from November 10. For more information, or the registration day, call Ms Heazlewood on 0417 592 291.
