The album, which was released in April, came two years after the Melbourne group, which has its origins in New Zealand, last released an album.
"That's just the way things went for us with this one, as we didn't want to just 'force out' the next album, so we just let the songs naturally come," the group's David Morgan said.
"This album is more cohesive from us and I think we've really found our groove here and found a style that we're comfortable with and it is exciting to have a direction to go in."
Morgan described this direction as being a "bluesy-rock" one.
"As musicians you are constantly going to evolve, and at times we weren't comfortable with what we were doing and the songs we were writing at the time, but we've always tried to do better, to write better and push ourselves.
"We feel this song is a bit more accurate about what we want to be doing, although it still might change in the future, no doubt."
Bonjah will bring the sounds of Beautiful Wild to Launceston this weekend.
"It's been great to be getting out on the road and playing to full rooms.
"We've had a really good response and the crowd seem to be loving it, as it is the kind of music that you can groove along to and have a really good time and they are really fun shows.
"We love it down in Tassie, and we find Tassie is very similar to New Zealand, which we love, and everyone seems to be so lovely no matter where you go in Tassie."
Morgan promised it wouldn't be another two years between albums, saying they already have some ideas floating.
