Warren Wadawu scored the game's solitary goal in the 28th minute to secure third place for the Warriors.
Last placed Launceston City held South Hobart scoreless for 71 minutes at Darcy Street but could not keep the champions out for the full 90 minutes and lost 4-0.
Brayden Mann finally broke the deadlock followed by a goal from Chris Hunt in the 80th minute, another to Mann one minute later and the fourth to Andy Brennan in the 89th minute.
Devonport City opened the scoring against Kingborough Lions in the 11th minute through Michael Holden before Brodie Denehey added a second when he rounded the keeper in the 30th minute.
Three minutes later, Kieran Mulraney put the Strikers 3-0 ahead with a header from Holden's set piece.
The Lions scored twice before half-time through Nathaniel Taylor and Nick Cuthbertson but Devonport made it 4-2 when Denehey netted his second.
Kingborough reduced the deficit Lewis Verdouw in the 60th minute but Denehey netted his hat-trick 12 minutes later and supplied the corner for Miles Barnard to head home for a 6-3 score line.
Hobart Zebras took a 3-0 lead into the break against Glenorchy Knights with goals to Henry Fagg, Adam McKeown and Russell Courtney. Jade Clay scored scored Knights' goal in the 67th minute.
In the Northern Premier League finals series, Riverside Olympic beat Devonport City 5-2 to secure a spot in the grand final against the winner of Somerset and Northern Rangers today.
Devonport scored first through Connor Lizotte before Todd Mitchell replied from the penalty spot after Jesse Dance was sent off for handling the ball on the line.
Riverside extended its lead to 3-1 at the interval through Liam Poulson and Mitchell and made it 4-1 after the restart when Lyndon Prince scored.
Lizotte scored again for the Strikers but Mitchell netted his hat-trick to put the result beyond doubt and maintain Olympic's unbeaten record this season.
