The competition was described as "fiercely contested" by St Helens Croquet Club secretary Carol Rollason, who praised the tournament's impressive skill and thorough officiating.
St Helens' croquet facility was praised by travelling competitors, while Devonport's Gina and Colin Kirkland could not be separated on points and were both awarded the 2014 trophy.
"I think the highlight was the fact that we got so many players from across the state," Ms Rollason said.
"It was a really big deal to us and the way it was organised and officiated was really well done."
St Helens Croquet Club is also looking for new members of all ages.
No experience is needed and new players are encouraged to attend free try-outs at the St Helens Croquet Club lawns on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9am during the winter and 9.30am throughout the rest of the year.
