The three-day camp is open to West Tamar residents aged between 12 and 17 and is fully funded by the West Tamar Council.
West Tamar Council youth development officer Stewart Bell explained the camp's aim was to build leadership skills, which could be put back into the community.
He said camp participants would attend workshops on styles of leadership, the qualities of a good leader and presentations from special guest speakers.
Mr Bell said there would also be physical challenges, problem-solving games and a challenge course.
"There is a strong focus on building confidence and enhancing problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills," he said.
Some participants from the 2014 camp have been invited back to share the skills they learnt during their time away.
Applications for the camp, which runs from January 12 to 14 at Camp Clayton, close on October 10.
Forms are available from the council offices or by contacting Stewart Bell on 6323 9206, 0429 416 310 or via email stewart.bell@wtc.tas.gov.au.
