THE Launceston Tornadoes suffered a cruel loss in last night’s final game of the season against the Frankston Lady Blues at Elphin Stadium.

The Torns went down 58-93 against the Blues in Alicia Riley’s retirement match, which was also the Rex Sainty legends game.

Lauren Mansfield was the top scorer for the Tornadoes with 18points, followed by Ally Wilson and Mariah Payne with 10 each, and Emma Russell with nine.

Riley scored five points in her final match, with seven rebounds and two assists.

Frankston was too good for the Tornadoes, leading at every break.

Versatility proved a key factor for the Blues, with every player posting a score during the match.

Kelly Bowen top scored for the Blues with 21 points.

Rather than have a named sponsor for the final match of the season, the Tornadoes dedicated the home game to friends, family and fans.
