The food, wine and entertainment celebration will be held in Launceston’s City Park on February 13, 14 and 15.
Festivale chairwoman Lou Clark confirmed yesterday that the 1980s pop-rock band Mental as Anything, with hits such as Live It Up, If You Leave Me and Too Many Times would play on Friday night.
The Eurogliders, another 1980s pop band with the hit single Heaven, will perform on Saturday night.
Lead singer Grace Knight will also perform solo on the Sunday.
Ms Clark said the committee was pleased with the line-up so far.
‘‘We think they are a great fit with the event,’’ she said.
Expressions of interest for local artists are open until tomorrow at 5pm.
‘‘People can go to our website and fill in our form,’’ Ms Clarke said.
Stall holder applications have closed and should be selected in September.
Ms Clark said entry fees should remain the same next year as previous years, despite Hobart’s Taste festival putting a price on their event.
The Taste Festival is usually free, however the Hobart City Council decided last week to charge a $5 entry fee to its December event.
Festivale tickets last year were $20 for adults on Friday and Saturday and $15 on the Sunday.
Children under 14 were free.
Ms Clark said a Sunday cooking demonstration would also be included in the Festivale program next year.
More Festivale details are expected in coming months.
