Torns blown away by tough, bouncy Geelong

THE Launceston Tornadoes found the Geelong Lady Supercats too tough an opponent going down by 21 points in their SEABL game at Elphin Stadium last night.

The Lady Supercats shot out to a 25-10 quarter-time lead and were never headed in the 74-53 victory.

Abby Bishop and Lauren Mansfield were the Tornadoes' best players with Bishop shooting 18 points and having 10 rebounds, and Mansfield scoring 16 points and three rebounds.

Launceston's own Tayla Roberts proved a thorn in the side of her former team as Geelong's best player with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
