THE Bass Highway at Ulverstone was shut for almost two hours this morning following a three car pile-up off Eastland's Drive, shortly after 7.30am.
One person has been taken to the North-West Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash, while the other drivers were treated at the scene.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said one vehicle had rolled in the west bound lane and a person was trapped in the vehicle, but had since been freed.
Traffic was diverted around the area through Westella Drive, but the highway has since re-opened.
Police said the road re-opened about 9.20am
