Red Herring Surf marketing co-ordinator Jess Nicholls said staff would be dressed up while handing out bargains.
She said Casio watches, Roxy sunglasses and Haviana thongs were included in discounts for all customers, while other items in the shop would be up to 50 per cent off.
``We'll also be having an hourly special,'' Ms Nicholls said.
``It's a massive day, but we're prepared for customers to come in and get a great deal.''
The Examiner Crazy Day promises entertainment from Reuben Koops, Ruby Rubberlegs and fashion parades while children dressed in superhero garb will have a chance to win a major prize.
Four $250 shopping sprees are up for grabs with hourly draws from 11am.
More than 80 stores are participating in the event, from 10am to 3pm.
