Weekend Sunrise weather man James Tobin will broadcast live from the festival to thousands across the nation on Sunday, which co-ordinator Cynthia Maxwell-Smith said was priceless advertising for the region.

Ms Maxwell-Smith said the $30,000 Game Fishing Club of Northern Tasmania competition on both days has also attracted plenty of interest from keen and novice anglers.

"This year we have a slightly different focus," she said.

"There will be a professional sanctioned game fishing section and a try out competition where anyone can have a go.

"We will have a weigh-in each day to see what the fishermen come back with.

"We will have lots of exhibits of powerboats, jet ski race and free kids entertainment as well."

The Tasmanian Jet Sport Boating Club will host a jet ski race to Maria Island and offer rides to the public.

Sunday the France to Freycinet Festival will also be held at The Village, Triabunna, and feature a long lunch, a craft and book market and french car rally.

Seafest is supported by the Glamorgan Spring Bay Council, Fish Tasmania, Triabunna District School and Spring Bay Boat Club.
