As part of the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave fund-raiser, from March 13 to 16, Ms Trotter was joined by four others to shave their heads at the Launceston General Hospital yesterday morning.
After the shave Ms Trotter, of Launceston, said she was in shock and felt much colder but was happy she'd been able to more than double the amount she'd aimed to, raising about $7400.
Her original target was $2500.
``I've been doing heaps of fund-raising and I had a really big raffle, which has been really well supported by my colleagues and just people I've met on the street while selling tickets,'' she said.
``I've been totally overwhelmed by the support and generosity.''
The raffle's first prize of a hamper worth more than $450 was won by Roseanne Summers, of Launceston.
