TICKETS for the Ricky Ponting tribute match at Aurora Stadium are selling at a faster rate than any other sporting event at the Launceston venue, as more cricketing names are unveiled for the Twenty20 encounter.

By late yesterday, 3473 tickets and more than 350 corporate spaces had been sold for the 20,000 capacity ground.
Ponting's former team-mates in openers Matthew Hayden and Ed Cowan, fast bowler Brett Lee, swing bowler Damien Fleming and batsman Greg Blewett, as well as former Test and one-day great Dean Jones were yesterday named to take part in the January 30 contest.
The game will be played under lights on Aurora Stadium's new drop-in wicket.
They join wicketkeepers Adam Gilchrist and Ian Healy, opener Justin Langer and all-rounder Andrew Symonds in sides that will be captained by Ponting and Gilchrist.
Ponting's manager James Henderson said yesterday the game was shaping up as a reunion for Ponting with some of his closest cricket mates.
``What we're finding as we talk to more guys and they realise who is playing, they are really keen to come back and play with their mates again,'' he said.
`All funds raised will go to the Ponting Foundation for distribution back into the Tasmanian health care system, to help Tasmanians and their families beat cancer.
