Australia's top order has gained the upper hand on day one of the second Test against England at the Adelaide Oval.
A short time ago, Australia was 1-143, with Chris Rogers on 61 and Shane Watson unbeaten on 50.
EARLIER
Australia has lost the wicket of opener David Warner early on day one of the second Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval.
Play has been delayed due to rain with the Australians 1-36 in the 11th over with Shane Watson not out on 1 and Chris Rogers unbeaten on 7.
Warner was out in the eighth over of the day, caught at point by Michael Carberry off the bowling of Stuart Broad for 29 with the score on 34.
EARLIER
Australian captain Michael Clarke has won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval starting this morning.
The Australians named an unchanged starting XI from the victorious first Test in Brisbane a fortnight ago. Tasmania's James Faulkner is 12th man.
England made two changes - off-spinner Monty Panesar has come into the team alongside debutant Benjamin Stokes in place of Jonathan Trott and paceman Chris Tremlett.
