Alpine Enterprises manager Eryl Williams was hopeful the lifts would be open tomorrow.
``There are massive winds forecast for tomorrow so that makes it too dangerous to use then,'' he said.
``But hopefully we'll have them running on Tuesday.''
Mr Williams said as long as the snow continued to fall, the lifts would continue to operate.
The Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Ray Evans said snow had fallen to the 900-metre mark at Ben Lomond yesterday.
He said snow was expected to fall around the Central Plateau, the Western Highlands and the southern part of the state early this week.
Strong wind conditions, rain and cold temperatures are expected this week.
