Two of the up-and-coming junior drivers Justin Murphy (rookies) and James Fitch (junior national heavy) will be heading to the Gippsland Kart Club for the Australasian C-D grade titles from August 3-4.
Both drivers will be heading into the race meeting full of confidence Leg 1?with Murphy winning the Daniel Johnson Memorial at Burnie in June and Fitch the JNH final at the McDonalds Young Guns meeting.
A further six drivers are heading to the City of Melbourne Titles from August 10-11, held at the Go Kart Club of Victoria.
Rookies Jackson Callow and Tate Frost will be battling it out with a field of more than 25 drivers from across Australia.
Callow has been the form driver in the state winning three of the past four race meetings.
Frost has been the big improver ?after switching from the CRG chassis to the Kosmic kart.
Alastair Lee, Troy Stone and Zane Wyatt will compete in one of the feature classes, the clubman heavy.
This class normally has more than 10 state and national champions competing and all three will aim to place in the top 10.
Steven Wrigley rounds out the LKC entries, competing in tag heavy.
Wrigley has been one the form drivers all year and will be hoping his new Praga kart gives him an advantage.
?Fellow rookies Lochie Dalton and Kurtis Love will join Callow and Frost at Puckapunyal, in Victoria, for the junior sprint classic from September 7-8, with more than 300 entries expected.
This is the major race meeting each year for drivers competing in cadets, rookies and all junior classes.
Dalton won this year's statewide series in cadets and has just moved up to rookies while Love has been knocking on the door for a podium all year.
