More than 100 people attended a gala dinner at White Sands Estate for the awards that recognised the achievements of businesses in the Break O'Day and Glamorgan Spring Bay municipalities.
The event's committee won the Festivals and Events category award and chairman David Quon said it was a fantastic achievement.
"Two high points for me were seeing the community spirit in the lead- up to the event and the young ones' enthusiasm for the cooking classes on the day," Mr Quon said.
"Some of them spent the whole day in the cooking school - it is not all about numbers on the day.
"A successful festival such as this raises the profile of the entire region and puts a spotlight on this very special part of Tasmania.
"We have food producers and wineries from Pyengana in the far north-east to Darlington Vineyard from Orford in the south-east."
The first festival was held in 2006 and this year's event will feature live entertainment, East Coast produce, art and craft, cooking schools and helicopter rides on Saturday, November 23.
